A character competes in the Outland Cup on their Dragonriding mount in WoW

One of the more outlandish additions to the game in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is Dragonriding races. Now, Blizzard has confirmed the Outland Cup, added as part of the Seeds of Renewal Patch 10.2.5.

Though many may consider it a bit silly, the Outland Cup is a bespoke event that aims to take advantage of the dynamic flying systems present in the latest expansion. It might be more Mario Kart than WoW but there is plenty for players to enjoy and rewards to make it worthwhile.

Taking place between January 18-31, this World Event will task players with racing against the clock, all in the “welcoming” skies of Outland. Even players who haven’t yet unlocked Dragonriding can compete using loaned mounts.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Outland Cup.

Outland Cup Riders of Azeroth badges & rewards list

  • The initial questline rewards 80 badges upon completion
  • Each race completion rewards 1, 2 or 3 badges for Bronze, Silver and Gold respectively. Each race can be completed on Normal, Advanced and Reversed, for a total of 9 badges per race if Gold rank is achieved.

It’s also important to note that this process can be repeated on alts, increasing the potential to earn badges.

In terms of rewards, players are able to purchase new transmogs, Dragonriding customizations and Valdrakken Accord Insignias. Maztha also sells the Manuscript of Endless Possibility, which randomizes the appearance of dragons each time players mount up. The full list is as follows:
