Wuthering Waves offering free limited 5-star to all players in version 1.2
Kuro GamesWuthering Waves developers Kuro Games have announced that they will reward players with a free, limited 5-star unit in version 1.2 that you won’t want to miss out on.
Wuthering Waves developers have been quite generous when it comes to rewarding the community with free gifts. Kuro previously celebrated the release of WuWa and offered compensation for bugs, with free 5-star units in version 1.0.
Additionally, players can currently claim a free 5-star weapon upon reaching Union Level 45. However, with version 1.2, they are rewarding players with another brand-new limited 5-star unit.
The name of this unit is Xiangli Yao, and he is expected to be a replacement for Calcharo. Based on leaked information, he will be incredibly strong and is expected to become the number one Lightning DPS unit in the game upon release.
The developers have confirmed that you can claim the unit in the second half of version 1.2. Currently, no other information is available on how to get him, but the developers will let players know more in the coming days.
It’s important to note, that you will only receive one copy of the unit. So, if you want duplicates you will have to pull on the banner. Finally, Xiangli Yao is expected to remain as a limited unit, as the developers have not mentioned anything about adding him to the permanent banner.
Based on what the developers mentioned in a blog post on August 6, this compensation is being added to make up for bugs that are currently present in the game. This isn’t the first time a gacha game has given away a free 5-star, as HoYoverse did it with Dr. Ratio for winning multiple awards in 2023.
