Cristiano Ronaldo gains millions of YouTube subscribers after channel launch
YouTube: UR CristianoPro footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has gained over 18.6 million of YouTube subscribers just hours after the launch of his official channel.
While he’s known as one of the greatest footballers of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo has also made himself quite known across social media.
He regularly shares Instagram posts with his 636M followers on the app, many of whom have spent years asking for the star to create his own YouTube channel.
Ronaldo has finally done just that, revealing the new channel on August 21, 2024. Excited followers flocked to the account in droves, quickly growing the account.
So quickly, in fact, that the UR Cristiano account has already flown past 18,600,000 subscribers within the first 24 hours.
While interest in his channel is largely fueled by the fact he’s known worldwide as a top athlete, it also helps that Ronaldo introduced the account with nearly 20 videos already uploaded.
Most of the uploads are vlog-style, but his most popular one as of writing is a ‘get to know us’ Q&A video alongside his wife Georgina.
It broke nearly 13 million views in just the first 22 hours and is quickly rising as fans flock to the channel.
Many have noticed that the video is done on a set designed specifically for him, and began speculating that the pro footballer may be launching a podcast-style series in the future.
Nothing is yet confirmed, but many have taken to social media to point out that sets like his are often created for podcasts as you can see with Joe Rogan, Impaulsive, and OTK’s Steak and Eggs shows.
We’ll have to wait to see what he has in store for the future of his YouTube channel, and just how many subscribers Ronaldo will get before the hype dies down.
Just in the time it took to write this article, he’s gained over half a million subscribers and it doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.
