YouTuber ‘Gixxer Brah’ has been arrested by Colorado police after his videos driving a motorcycle at speeds over 150 mph sparked outrage online.

It’s not unusual to see the odd influencer or two undertaking a dangerous stunt for views, but one motorcyclist is facing a bevy of charges thanks to his high-speed challenge.

YouTuber and motorcyclist ‘Gixxer Brah,’ real name Rendon Dietzmann, is best known for his divisive videos showing himself driving at eye-poppingly high speeds. His channel boasts over 250,000 subscribers as viewers pour in, with many commenters claiming they love his “chill vibe” and relaxed attitude.

Dietzmann caught the attention of authorities after they noticed a video showing the motorist attempting to drive from Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 minutes — a trip that would normally take him over an hour.

This YouTuber began blurring his speedometer in more recent videos.

In a clip posted to social media, Dietzmann can be seen weaving in and out of traffic as he speeds down a highway toward Denver, with state troopers accusing him of driving over 150 mph.

While Dietzmann has since deleted the video in question, it was reuploaded to social media, garnering a swath of negative attention online… and now, he’s been taken into custody.

YouTuber arrested after filming himself speeding

A warrant was issued for Dietzmann’s arrest, attached with charges for Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment, Engaging in a Speed Contest, and four other offenses.

On Wednesday, February 7, Deitzmann was arrested at a residence in Justin, Texas, on an assault charge, as per Denton County jail records.

It doesn’t look like Dietzmann was too bothered by the warrant out for his arrest, as his most recent YouTube videos include footage of news reports discussing the warrant and the outrage his videos have sparked among drivers.

However, commenters appear to be largely on Dietzmann’s side, with one writing, “If only they would use their resources to find actual violent criminals instead of a guy speeding.”

“This guy is him,” another wrote. “The way you just take the piss on the news and those typa guys is hilarious!”

This is just the latest influencer to get arrested over their pranks after a Belgian YouTuber was taken into custody for filming himself throwing buckets of poo on train passengers in January.
