Twitch and Kick streamer Amouranth has been banned from YouTube for “sexual content” due to a video posted on her ASMR channel.

Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa is one of the top streamers on the net, boasting millions of followers across multiple platforms – but she lost quite a few of those followers when YouTube deleted one of her accounts.

On August 20, the popular content creator revealed that her entire ASMR channel was “removed without warning” after she posted a video.

“I was just brushing the mic with a paintbrush,” she claimed.

Visiting Amouranth’s ASMR channel shows a screen that reads, “This page isn’t available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else.”

After tagging YouTube on X/Twitter, the site’s official support team responded, asking the streamer to share more information about her channel. Once they had the info, they explained the termination was no error.

“Our policy team confirmed the termination was correct,” YouTube said, justifying their decision to delete the channel by referring to an article on the platform’s Nudity and Sexual Content policy. “Appreciate your understanding of our need to make this tough call.”

According to Social Blade, Amouranth’s ASMR channel was created back in 2014 and had amassed 749K subscribers. The channel had 171 uploads and over 76M views before its deletion.

Siragusa’s other YouTube accounts are still up and running, including her main channel, with 999K subscribers.

ASMR content has been popular on Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube for many years, with creators talking and making sounds that give viewers a pleasurable and relaxing experience.

However, ASMR content has occasionally caused some controversy. Amouranth, along with other creators, have been banned from sites for taking their ASMR broadcasts too far, such as when they began “ear-licking” their microphones.

On August 21, Amouranth defiantly responded to YouTube’s explanation for the ban: “To sum it all up, I must say that I regret nothing.”

It’s unclear if she plans to appeal YouTube’s decision.

This ban comes in the middle of a rough August for the streamer. In addition to being overtaken as the most-watched female streamer, Siragusa has also been dealing with her stalker continuing to harass her and Amazon selling “bootleg” merch using her name and likeness.
